Marcus Ranson, 30, was gunned down in his car in the city's Chicago Lawn neighborhood on July 11. 2024.

It came moments after a man spoke with Ranson at his car window, when two men ambushed him with guns and rapidly fired a number of shots inside the vehicle.

Ranson was found in the car around 7:50 pm, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation remains open and unsolved.
