Unfortunately this is the chance the store clerk took which, ultimately cost him his life. The robber may have shot him regardless.

Wow, he didn't even try raiding the till. I wonder if the killer was a hired gun from a rival shop owner or something of that nature.

I count at least two bullet holes in his head. The robber appears to have pumped a couple of more rounds in his noggin' yet I am unable to tell from the pics. Hopefully the robber(s) will be caught and prosecuted accordingly. R.I.P. to someone just trying to earn a living honestly and condolences to his family.

It's a shame that crime is so rampant, but you have to be able to defend yourself under such circumstances. Unfortunately, when guns are involved, everything hinges on chance and split seconds with death the consequence of a mistake.
