Shop Assistant on His Bicycle Fatally Hit by a Bike
A general supermarket assistant died after being run over by a motorcyclist on the coast of São Paulo. According to the victim's family, the author of the crime fled after what happened. The case was registered as aggravated involuntary manslaughter and is being investigated by police. The victim, 29-year-old L. M. da S, was leaving the supermarketmarket where he worked and riding his bicycle towards home. A motorcyclist hit the bicycle but did not fall off his motorcycle and fled. After the accident, a car passing by the site stopped to provide assistance. A co-worker found out what had happened and contacted the sales assistant S. M. da S, the victim's sister. “I ran out of my house towards the market and saw that there was nothing. When I looked straight ahead, I saw ambulance lights, so I stopped a bus in the street and asked to give me a ride. The bus driver informed me that when he went to the final stop, my brother had already suffered the accident. He was returning and my brother was still there,” he says. The Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) was called at 9:40 pm, carried out the first visits and took the victim to the Central Emergency Room with the condition of cardiac arrest. However, the man did not resist and died. The family filed a police report on the case on the same day. With the help of city bikers and L' friends, the family managed to get in touch with the suspect's family. A man reported that his son was responsible for the accident and that he was going to turn himself in to the authorities. The alleged perpetrator of the crime explains that the motorcycle was not his. “He worked, he was a responsible guy, he made everyone happy, so it's been very difficult to know that he is gone. He was run over on his way home from work, my mother was waiting for him with dinner and she didn't receive her son back,” says the sister. The police have so far not manifested themselves, they haven't even informed me if the investigation has been opened. He didn't give help, he's still on the run. The only thing the police wants is for him to turn himself in at the police station so that justice can be done”, she concludes. In a statement, the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) informed that the case was registered as a wrongful homicide in the driving of a motor vehicle at the Police Station and is being investigated by the 1st DP of the city, responsible for the area of the facts. |

Re: Shop Assistant on His Bicycle Fatally Hit by a Bike
~ So perhaps the motorcyclist purposely went out of his way to run him over. ~ And the bicycle guy was practically in the middle of the street when he got struck. ~ Being nighttime, the speedy motorcyclist who fleed is responsible, for driving in the middle of the road & the wrong side of the street, as shown with his headlights behind the trees, & the bicyclist may not have had safety reflectors or bike lights to be seen, but there is a street light right under him. |
