A devastating explosion occurred in a high-rise boarding house in Vietnam at approximately 1:15 PM on Saturday on the 4th floor of a boarding house.

According to the preliminary investigation by the Provincial Police, the explosion was triggered by the victims illegally manufacturing
fireworks. One teen passed away instantly at the scene, while a second victim succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital on a stretcher.

Investigators recovered firecracker shells, finished firecrackers, and chemical powders at the scene, including materials suspected to be sulfur and gunpowder.

Two other young men were severely injured and remain hospitalized at the General Hospital in critical condition and in a deep coma.

The force of the blast completely destroyed the room and its two adjacent rooms, blowing out the exterior concrete walls and exposing the building's metal framework.

Roof panels from the 4th floor and the first-floor parking courtyard collapsed or deformed, and debris was thrown hundreds of meters away, damaging nearby residential houses.
