That's why people who'll be given authority and a firearm should be screened for personality/mental issues. If a dumb ass walks by and does that to me while I'm on watch as a security guard I would not carry any follow up actions as it is clear I'm in the presence of someone with a mental instability issue and if he's already walk past by me and is no longer a threat it is best to let him go, on the other hand if he had gone for my weapon and is wrestling me then it would be another story, and self defense would likely apply and cover my ass, but what the old man did was stupid, he murdered a mentally ill man out of a bruised ego, fuck him.
