Security Guard of Gated Community Shot Multiple Times in the Head
Ecuador. Hitmen posing as police officers killed two men early Friday morning. The victims were gunned down inside the gated community of Valle Norte in the Daule canton of Guayas province. According to preliminary information, the hitmen arrived in a group of approximately 10 men in several vehicles. All were dressed in clothing similar to that worn by police officers. They immediately overpowered the guards at the entrance gate, beating them and threatening them with firearms. One of the assailants remained guarding the entrance while the others moved toward a recently rented house. Inside the house, one of the men was executed with multiple gunshots. The second victim tried to escape by running through the internal roads of the gated community, but he was caught and shot multiple times in the head and died in the street. The assailants fled the scene, and no arrests have been reported so far. The National Police and the Prosecutor's Office have begun collecting evidence and reviewing security camera footage from the complex. Police sources indicated that the attack appears to be a settling of scores related to disputes between organized crime groups. Residents expressed their concern, as this is not the first violent incident in Valle Norte. On October 17, 2025, unknown individuals entered the gated community and kidnapped a young woman, who has not yet been located. The double murder comes amid the most violent year on record in Ecuador. According to the latest police report, between January 1 and November 28, 2025, 8,272 intentional homicides were recorded nationwide. This figure surpasses the previous record of 8,248 murders registered during all of 2023. The province of Guayas has the highest number of cases, with more than 3,800 homicides so far in 2025, followed by Manabí and Los Ríos. Authorities attribute the increase in violence to clashes between gangs involved in drug trafficking, extortion, and contract killings, in a context of disputes over routes and territories. All of this comes after President Daniel Noboa declared an internal armed conflict in January 2024. The government has maintained a state of emergency in Guayas and six other coastal provinces since November 23, 2025, with a nighttime curfew and joint operations between the police and armed forces. However, violent crimes in gated communities have increased in recent months, generating alarm among citizens. Maybe an unblurred video1 appears online upcoming hours. |

Just need to shoot the one dude a few more times. It looks like the haciendas are neat, quaint, cozy, and all in a row. The secured gated community wasn’t really secure at all. |
