That was avoidable, even if he wasn't in control. Just leaning left or right and your head misses the pole.

This is why everyone who rides street bikes should first learn to ride dirt bikes. You learn so much about controlling a bike that's trying to throw you off, and how to use your body and throttle to save yourself.
