Scooter Rider Run Over by a Mobile Crane
A fatal traffic accident occurred on Zhongzheng North Road in Yongkang, Tainan, at about 6 a.m. yesterday. A scooter was being run over by a mobile crane. The scooter rider fell to the ground and being crushed, his skull fractured and his brain matter spilled out. Therefore, he died. The police pointed out that the deceased man was a 25-year-old man surnamed H. He was suspected of not maintaining a safe distance, accidentally fell himself, and was run over by a the crane. The driver of the crane responsible for the accident was a 51-year-old man surnamed L. He left the scene after the accident. Police followed the route to a nearby construction site to find the crane and conduct forensics. Whether it is involved in charges such as negligent death will have to wait until relevant evidence is collected and the prosecutor will be asked to investigate at the time of the inspection. The detailed cause of the accident still needs to be further investigated and clarified. At that time, footage of the impact was also exposed. It can be seen in the footage that H. fell to the left, and the scooter body was even scratched with flames. Moments later, he was run over by the crane, causing this tragedy. The police appeal that because large vehicles have blind spots and blind spots between inner wheels, when driving when encountering a large vehicle, you should keep a safe distance from the large vehicle to protect your own safety. |
