An independent witness (with poor dashcam footage) saw the girl firing shots at cops from the passenger window during the pursuit. She was also wearing a helmet and tactical gear.

She was shot by officers that were quite some distance away, who saw what appeared to them as the suspect trying to low crawl towards another officer. They shot in response to that perceived threat. They made an honest mistake, but they will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.

There's no justification for harming the innocent, accidentally or otherwise.

I know cop haters will always hate and I'm fine with that and most cops could honestly care less. But, to the cynics amongst you who might have any margin of doubt, feel free to watch the full Critical Incident video below with some open minded objectivity...

It's always entertaining to me how many people here, who have NEVER once been in danger nor faced evil, are such experts in everything pertaining to the topic.

The accuracy of rounds against the police cars pursuing the truck tells me the passenger played a large role. I knew this before learning of the civilian witnesses confirming. This is because it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT, nearly IMPOSSIBLE, to shoot accurately from a moving object, towards another moving object. Not to mention when your target vehicle, is BEHIND YOU. Add to this having a steering wheel in your hand and having to guide the driven vehicle. I knew this right away, BECAUSE I'VE DONE IT. Unlike most of you here, which is painfully obvious based on your ignorant replies...

Let's do some maths:

A go pro is like 500 bucks, 2000 officers is a million bucks up front. Let's do $1.5 million because people drop shit sometimes.

1tb high performance micro sd's run $160 bucks, so let's round up to $200. We'll buy 10 per go pro. $2000x2000 is $400k. These will probably be replaced every 5 years.

$100 for a 26k maH external battery for 12 hours continuous use, 2 per go pro to be hot swappable, $400k. These will probably be replaced every 2 years.

A custom solution for holding the combination battery/gopro could probably be done by an American company for $300 per unit, 3000 units to be safe (accidents and shit) makes $900k.

Servers to hold the video footage are a strange one, but you could likely get a 10 petabyte storage solution installed for $300k. This will hold about 35 thousand shifts worth of 4k video at 60fps if my math is correct. That's 17.5 days of back to back 12 hour shifts for all 2000 officers, and I highly doubt they'll need all the video for every officer, and any interactions can be grabbed based on end of day reports to prune dead time where the officer is eating, farting, jerking off, etc.

Their budget already includes staff to handle data transfer, I'm sure, so we won't include that.

That brings us to $4.2 million, a lot of which will be one time cost, or every few years if need be.

Sounds like a fucking steal to me, honestly.

Go Pro's are TRASH. If I run over 1080 resolution for more than 10 to 15 minutes above water, it over heats and shuts down. I have to wait to start it until right before we descend. Google it, I'm by far not the only person experiencing this...

She was a fucking CHILD.

Look at the video of her in the store. She was clearly terrified and confused. She was a victim. Victim of a parent was tragic. Victim of those we pay to protect is beyond inexcusable.

Modern cops in America have turned the nation into a literal war zone. It started in Los Angeles with Daryl Gate's SWAT team bullshit, and it has spiraled out of control.

That's what cops had to go by. One deputyh told her to come to him but with all that gunfire, no one heard him.

Other deputies saw a suspect exit and crawl towards them. Fearing an ambush they opened fire.

The real guilty one is the dead who should've pulled over and surrendered. HE put his dauhter in jeopardy. Assuming she wasn't part of the rampage herself.

Both countries treat these occurrences quite differently:

Mexican cops get charged with murder and go to prison if there is no real justification for shooting and killing a criminal, they must prove self defense.
Mexican cops often decide not to shoot even when facing a deadly threat for fear of the consequences.


Brazilian cops are virtual death squads, they execute criminals even when already handcuffed or in their home and have no repercussions AT ALL.
