:face palm: facepalm I screamed this from the roof tops the whole time I was in that job….. YOU AREN’T IN FALLUJAH ANYMORE ASSHOLES!!!! The biggest problem facing current day American LEO is training officers who came from war zones training mostly veterans that came from war zones to be police on homeland soil. IT DOES NOT WORK! I saw this time and time and time again. When I went to the academy I came straight from active duty Army, all the instructors were prior war fighters who got out and took the first job that kept them home and allowed for the adrenaline. Warfighters should NOT be eligible to become cops. No one I’m aware of on this forum has the background and life of experience to argue against me on this. I’m speaking from first hand real world knowledge of this issue. Something has to change. A man carries a weapon for many years he is allowed to respond to almost anything with violence, he is put in repeated situations where his life is threatened until he doesn’t process fear as fear but with a sense of being alive. It becomes the only way he feels alive. That same man can not then be taken out of that environment and thrust into a situation where he still carries a weapon but he is expected to change his mindset from warrior to peacekeeper at the same time being told he is in a war zone and that everything he faces will kill him. The cops I worked with would pull their gun for absolute zero reason this is because we point weapons at everyone in war it is an extension of our finger, our arm it loses it’s “danger” to us because we are the trigger the mechanism that causes death. Every instructor at the academy is pounding “fear” of everything into your head with every block of education. It is a perfect recipe for disaster. It’s not just this shooting it’s the countless other situations. The worst type of cop is the veteran who never got to go outside the wire and kick doors and shoot scumbags. You add those in the rear with the gear pussies in the mix and it’s a perfect storm. Sorry for the rant there is just so so much to be said about this subject.

Cops are trained by IDF as well. A group notorious for aggression and lack of care for civilians.

The whole organization needs to be reworked.

IMHO, her father deliberately set her up to be shot by police.

An independent witness (with poor dashcam footage) saw the girl firing shots at cops from the passenger window during the pursuit. She was also wearing a helmet and tactical gear.

She was shot by officers that were quite some distance away, who saw what appeared to them as the suspect trying to low crawl towards another officer. They shot in response to that perceived threat. They made an honest mistake, but they will have to live with that for the rest of their lives.

There's no justification for harming the innocent, accidentally or otherwise.

I know cop haters will always hate and I'm fine with that and most cops could honestly care less. But, to the cynics amongst you who might have any margin of doubt, feel free to watch the full Critical Incident video below with some open minded objectivity...

Nah, they’re just assholes. No need to do all these gymnastics to justify their cruelty. They’re just the enforcers of the government’s will. Sure, they’re first responders and occasionally fight real crime. But their true purpose is to enforce the law, as oppressive and unjust a law can be, and they can use deadly force when they escalate a situation that arose from a stupid law. You have to be an asshole to agree to do that as a profession.

That said, I agree that the father set up his daughter and she ended up dying, regardless of the incompetence of the cops.
