Even in the military we were expected to have enough restraint to prevent killing unarmed civilians. I saw no restraint here whatsoever.

Looks like a total crossfire clusterfuck with the officer calling her hiding behind his truck to not get hit by his fellow officers. Easy to blame the police but they didn't choose the situation or location and assuming you're on the entry ramp road with a rifle all you're gonna hear is gunshots and all you're gonna see is a non-cop running from the suspect vehicle towards the officers on the main road. Could have been handled better and probably would have if they had time to get a swat or state/fbi tac team in place rather than a bunch of traffic enforcers with firearms they haven't fired in months and for many probably never fired at another person. Sad situation but I blame the person who instigated it not the traffic cops who engaged in a disorganized firefight none of them wanted and few were prepared for. |
