It was Russian squadron in Chechen countryside. Chechen rebels surrounded the squadron and captured them. They beheaded every Russian soldier, except one that ran away (not sure if he was caught/killed).

The video itself was ~10-15 years old.

Again, I don't see why you care either way. Him and his ilk are a common theme and can easily be ignored. Giving the many attention is like giving a bear food, it will come back for more until you stop giving. Weird analogy I know.
