I am looking at this in a completely anatomical way, why was his arms almost disabled? It seemed as though he couldn't pull himself up (to stop strangulation) even if he could?

Lack of oxygen to muscle groups. That's the strangulation killer, oxygen depletion. Can't breathe, can't do shit.  I'm sorry this guy killed himself. Hanging doesn't look like a great way to go. |

That took too long. I do NOT want to die that way. Give me something as close to instant death as possible. When he tried to grab the rope I wonder if he regretted his decision or was that just paroxysmal spasms.  |
