Re: Russia - Young Man Vs Train

Like a goddamn walnut.

I guess he was having a tough go in the music industry.
Well, it helps to be able to sing and play an instrument.
I understand he was a triangle soloist. Not too much demand for them.

Imagine "Don't fear the Reaper" with triangle instead of cowbell. The skit wouldn't be the same.

Re: Russia - Young Man Vs Train

I knew my life was essentially fucked when I was in first grade. At 2:45 each day, before school was out at 3pm, the teacher always brought out the musical instruments. I got the triangle every time. I graduated to the chimes in Jr. High. My life sucks.

I was relegated to the triangle, with STRICT instructions NOT to play it until she pointed directly AT me. That included NOT doing ANY testing to see if the triangle had somehow become broken in some way, no matter HOW curious I was to check and see that it wasn't broken since the last time I had rung it. Since that was the sum total of my musical skill (My singing being of a quality that made kittens scamper out to try and find a riding lawnmower to hide under.) it's kind of obvious why I never had a rock band when I was a teenager.
Oh, well. Guess I was just destined to be an anatomy specimen in a medical school eventually.
