Honestly. I've thought about this every time I fill a tire my entire life. About 10 years ago, my job had a forklift and a tire started going flat so somebody filled it in a pinch. I think the rating on the tire was something insane like 140 or more PSI. The guy filling it got to maybe 90 or so before he decided it wasn't worth it. Also now that I think about it, I've never seen inflatable tires on a forklift since. I gotta look into the science of that, because the raw energy stored in those is insane. |

I used to work on split rim truck tires. Now that's dangerous! Don't get the lock ring set right and ........
