Re: Russia - Two Women Hit by Drunk Driver
My guess is that they do not tense up their muscles because they're not aware what's happening, they ragdoll inside their vehicle and their floppy body behaves like it's made of rubber. I watched an episode of "Cops" long ago, where a drugged-up dude was threatening to jump from his ninth story apartment, his wife had called the police. The cops went up the stairs with the cameraman following, when they reached the eight floor you can hear her screams begging him not to jump but he did, the cops climb down the stairs as they realize the guy already jumped. I was expecting them to find the guy splattered all over the sidewalk, but guess what... There was no one to be seen, it just happened that the guy had walked about a block and the cops found him sitting against a fence completely dazed, they took him to the hospital and was released a little later with no injuries! immediately |

Re: Russia - Two Women Hit by Drunk Driver
When a person is sober, they tend to stiffen up during an accident and they break more bones. When a person is drunk, they are more relaxed during an accident and they don`t tense up, kind of like the "rag doll effect", so being in that state they can take more of the impact.
