Nope. Not an able skier. Speeding skier was going too fast for conditions and abilities. That is a wide, flat intermediate or beginner main slope, intersecting with a side slope. It is not a closed racing slope.

I referred to the 2 fast skiers on the real track. See the whole track. They kept a good distance for many reasons. I consider the noob exiting a not regular maintained slope/ hors parcours. the noob's hesitation or ignorance caused hesitation of the first fast skier. But I consider now this victim was not on par with the skills of the 2nd skier. Going too fast as "intermediate". As you can see, if you watch the whole video, a well formed skier can stop less than a meter from you on these slopes. There are big leaps in skiing ability levels. I have seen training of local "snow vacation places kids" from 3-7 years old on black slopes. That's something to watch. Downhill training... |
