I dont think the dude was even aware he ran someone over. Usually when ur backing out ur looking at the side and rearview mirrors, and she was below his line of sight. Also, its snowy; he prolly just assumed hed backed into a pile of snow or something. And the dude honking could have just been a driver trying to rush someone he was there to pick up.

My point is, dude could have done everything absolutely right and accidentally run over the old bitch

~ The way I saw it, he had run over her already & wasn't sure if he was going to do additional damage or good, by just going thru the final process.

~ People that 'Old', just have a way of getting into these kind of circumstances, just by moseing about.
~ It's like taking for granted that they had a long enough life & never got into any kind of trouble, so why should it happen, until now.
~ I also get the feeling he knew her, & how she was always getting in the way, & how he finally got tired of that.
~ It was uncomfortably sad anyway to hear her painschlocked cries.
