Russia - Paramedic Killed By Red Light Driver
"A terrible accident at the intersection of Profsoyuznaya and Nakhimovsky prospects of the capital. A taxi crashed into the ambulance with all its foolishness - the driver drove on a red one. As a result of the incident, a 34-year-old paramedic of the ambulance brigade died."

That's unfortunate. I'm NOT defending the driver of the car and definitely not blaming the ambulance. However...most first responders will still slow down a tad in intersections if they're going to have to cross a red light on their part. Yes, emergency vehicles take precedence but smart drivers still slow and look in case of dumbass, oblivious drivers like this one. Just saying, both drivers could have avoided this... |
