Re: Russia - Guy Launched Out Of Crashing LADA

I had a nail in my tire and plugged it last year, drove 4 months on it and was batshit paranoid with every turn I made...
I've rolled a car before... not thanks...
(And man, I wish they had cameras there, was a nasty one.)
Cracks in the Sidewall are a No Go for me... Dried out in the sun, One good turn with a heavy loaded verhicle had send me flying out a Turn with 50Mph after the front tire ripped open along one of those cracks. If not for some low concrete barrier blocks to change "momentum" it could have turned Ugly

The Concrete launched the Car Nose upwards, almost flipping it backwards, and all energy was gone and it smacked its engine bay back onto the ground. Car totalled, me got another Life Lesson: New tires every fckn Year

Re: Russia - Guy Launched Out Of Crashing LADA

I got a blown out left front tire at 140+km/h with my Volvo 850 after hitting an obstacle on the road, but the only reason i supposedly managed "to just keep driving" is because it was such a flat 'n Wide 'sports tire, almost No Air and pretty wide rubber.

If that happened with one of those tall Skinny/Narrow tires like under cheaper cars like Lada, it would have been like you drop an Anchor ⚓ but just underneath your left front wheel
Glad you were able to keep it under control. Having a blowout is tense and can create high stress levels. It’s important to keep your head on with a good level of situational awareness.

Re: Russia - Guy Launched Out Of Crashing LADA

I’m a real estate photographer, so I drove all over Florida all day pretty much everyday. About a month ago I was in the middle lane on the highway, cars on both sides of me, in front and behind almost bumper to bumper but going at a consistent speed of about 75-80+ MPH. Mind you I was also driving a stick shift, adds to the adrenaline and excitement of a blowout. Which is what happened to my rear passenger side tire, it immediately tried to jerk the car to the right and into the car beside me. Had I not grabbed the steering wheel with my other hand the split second I heard the pop and felt the tug, I would have easily been a video on this site. My whole back end of my car started trying to swerve side to side. Luckily I managed to slow down enough the instant it happened, to let the car on my left fly by and I cut over into the breakdown lane heart pounding a mile a minute lol.

What else should I expect from: Superdude4411
