I'm more surprised the car didn't completely disintegrate on impact. Seems like the A-pillar didn't even fold much, if at all!

8 people in the mercedes returned from a birthday celebration party so probably the driver was drunk. Two burned alive in the car. The car was driving without license plates. Six were injured, two victims are in a coma, doctors are fighting for their lives. The Mercedes belongs to a former football player, 40-year-old Rasim Khutov. According to data, there are 48 administrative notices for traffic violations on Khutov. At the same time, 46 fines have not been paid. He collected them for speeding and running red lights. In the early 2000s, the former athlete played for the Stavropol Dynamo, Spartak-Nalchik, as well as for the Novorossiysk Chernomorets. An eyewitness to the fatal accident that occurred on Friday night on the Garden Ring told how, together with his friends, he was able to pull several victims out of a burning Mercedes car. He recalled that there were eight people in the car. The car crossed the Garden Ring at high speed and crashed into the wall of a house on Zubovsky Boulevard, at the intersection with Prechistenka. According to an eyewitness, a wrestler, he did not see the moment of the accident, as he was sitting on the open veranda. "Six people were rescued, there were eight people. We broke the door, we, three boys, were sitting on the open veranda. We ran to the sounds. We saw - immediately a flame ," the man said. “They broke the door, pulled it out, ” he explained. Asked if people were wearing seat belts, he stated that there were eight people inside, so it was impossible. |

Two people burned to death and six people were rescued? By the looks of Simone’s post maybe only 5 were rescued. One of those people looks like their head is a bit caved in. I doubt that’s one of the coma victims.. |
