Re: Russia - Car Kills Biker
I believe it was the biker. He pulled out in front of oncoming traffic. Honestly though, I think the driver is a dumbass. He steered into the biker--and the truck he was passing by. If you are trying to avoid a moving object, don't steer towards it.

Re: Russia - Car Kills Biker
Appears the driver of the vehicle was moving into the left lane while the lane was clear. The driver might have been thinking the scooter dude saw and would stop before crossing the road over into the left lane. He appears to have swerved to the left to avoid hitting him while the scooter dude may have thought he could make it to the other side before the impact. Anyways, the scooter dude died. |

Re: Russia - Car Kills Biker
It's instinct. Nearly everyone does it, thinking I suppose the person will stop or move. But you're right, the driver could have easily missed the moped rider if he was trained in evasive driving. It's usually something people need to practice, which is not realistic. Because like I said you instinct is to steer away from something. And don't immediately process to steer towards it, because it's moving and won't be there by the time you're there. Race car drivers are generally really good at this, because they get lots of practice. |
