The only theory I can come up with is "Laurie" is incredibly wealthy, and incredibly bitchy. Her only hobby is traveling around the world, offering truck drivers free drinks at the local bar if she can "borrow" their truck for a few minutes. When one agrees, as they usually do, she gleefully goes on the hunt. This is why this happens all over the world. Also, it gives the truck drivers good alibis for their drinking, as they can claim: "Laurie did it!!"
I know eventually she will be caught, but until then, she has free rein to create death and destruction wherever she goes.

Was lorry trying to overtake and van driver wasn’t allowing it? Did the lorry put the van? But then that doesn’t seem likely unless they were both driving at high speeds for the damage to occur as it did...?

From the looks of it, it seems that the minibus was trying to cross the road. Possibly at an intersection? Then the “laurie” came through and t-boned the fuck out of the minibus.
