Roxboro Police Officer Fatally Shooting a Man Holding a Shotgun
On Wednesday afternoon, investigators released dash camera video of the moment a Roxboro police officer shot and killed a man Friday. Roxboro Chief of Police David Hess had said 45-year-old D B Jr. was armed when he was shot. The video shows him with a shotgun. Brooks' father, D B Sr., had a chance reviewed the video alongside Roxboro police officers before its public release. He said, based on what he watched in the recording, that the shooting was not justified. Last Friday morning, Roxboro Police responded to a call about a man with a gun walking down Old Durham Road. In the video, an officer is visible stopping his car and turning on his blue lights. Within minutes, an officer fired one shot into D B Junior’s chest. His sudden death sparked protests within the Roxboro community. "Justice will be served. That’s the bottom line," said D.B. Sr. Two officers involved in the incident are on paid leave, which is standard procedure when an officer fires a weapon. The name of the officer who fired a shot has not been released. |

Re: Roxboro Police Officer Fatally Shooting a Man Holding a Shotgun
The father of the shot-gun carrying dumb-dumb after viewing the video said the shooting was unjustified? I know he's your son and all, but walking down the side of the road with a shotgun and then raising said weapon towards the police when told to put it down is a sure-fire way to becoming human fertilizer. I'm still perplexed at the utter insanity of idiots who shout injustice and set-up makeshift shrines like they were saints. |

You can see the wad flying toward him right before he falls. That's crazy. Looks like the one with the shotgun fired. He totally asked for it though. You don't point a gun at a cop........

Really though? Injustice? What more could you have asked for? The man pointed a shotgun at a freaking cop! This is proof that nobody is interested in the truth. They are interested in sensationalism. Get out of here with that crap.

When you hunt lions, the guy behind the hunter with the rifle has a shotgun, and not because it's harder to miss with one. Those things remove tissue in huge chunks.

I just hope that the officer's thick southern accent and white boyish good looks brought some comfort to homeboy in his last moments. If you listen closely, you can hear the cop whisper "we're having ham sandwiches for dinner tonight, extra mayonnaise".
