In response to a few posts about why they are checking for pulse, I have to assume at least one of those idiot cowboys is somewhat familiar with basic first aid.. though ideally just a paramedic in costume, but you HAVE to check unless there is clear decapitation or signs of decay.

Obvious death wish is obvious. I went to a rodeo down here in Texas, and while entertaining for a while (this was when I was 10, too young to understand), nowdays I just don't even feel remorse for the bull-rider. He wanted to take the risks? You got it, bub.
