The Scotiabank in British Virgin Islands looks exactly like that, lots of noisy customers, big numbers at each teller and all. I went there 15 years ago with a friend, it was crowded with long lines. White banker spots us at the back of the line, recognizes us as rare homo sapiens, and comes out to ask us what we need. I don't see the profit potential, a bank for non-human primates?

I don't go into my bank because the tellers (and some "personal bankers") are consummate swarthy assholes. With online banking and the ability to deposit checks, get cash from the ATM, there are few reasons to go inside and breathe the farts and COVID. I don't see much of a future for walk in banks. Want to get a house loan? Who in their right mind would waste time and money with a local bank? Every small business owner I know started their business using credit cards, banks only lend money when you don't need it. And I don't wait while the sullen black dude fills out a "currency report form" for the IRS every time I get a few thousand dollars in cash, I just drive thru the ATM a few times a week and get the max amount while doing errands.
