Maybe not a mistake, they seem to shoot people anyway and it might have been worth a try. Gun went off so fast that I wonder if he pulled the trigger before the victim took a swipe.

I feel the same. That’s some insane reaction time by the robber or he was going to be shot either way.

Clumsy grab? That was pretty quick, I’d say maybe the shooter was high/finger already on trigger. I don’t think they actually wanted to kill him considering the haphazard getaway.
