i know what you mean. after seeing the end result of some of these mototcycle accidents it has definetly helped discourage me from getting a bike. its not that im afraid ill fuck myself up doing stupid shit but i dont trust other drivers on the road. if youre doing 70 on the highway in a car and someone doesnt check their blind spot and swipes you most likely youll be ok, but if on a bike and that happpens thats a wrap for you. |

agreed. it doesn't matter how safe of a driver one is (be it motorcycle or car), they have no control over the next driver being safe or not. too many people say "i'm a safe driver, it won't happen to me". maybe it won't but again, maybe it will. one thing that is not in the motorcyclists favor is the law in many places requiring them to have mufflers on their bikes. if they were allowed to have loud noisy bikes then more drivers would be aware of their presence and there would be fewer accidents involving motorcycles being hit because they were unseen by a driver.
