Vietnam. On Monday morning a delivery truck driver reversed his vehicle and ran over a 89 year old man, walking slowly, using a cane in an alleyway.

After hitting the elderly man, the truck driver, N.C.K, 26, did not stop to preserve the scene but instead moved forward, running over the victim again.

After being run over twice, the elderly man, N.V.N, lay motionless at the scene and later died on the way to the hospital.

The victim had just celebrated his 89th birthday a few days ago.

The cause of the incident was determined to be that the truck did not have a rearview camera installed and the driver lacked observation skills and reversed recklessly while driving in a residential area without assistance.

According to the head of the Traffic Police Department, there is currently no legal regulation mandating the installation of rearview cameras on trucks, but according to regulations, when reversing, the driver must observe the rear, give the necessary signals and only reverse when it is safe to do so.

It's more outrageous to believe that that old coot was going to live much longer after surviving all of that. His fate finally caught up with him.
