San Martin de Porres, Lima, Peru

A 63-year-old retired policeman, Marcelino L.P., was shot dead whilst resisting an attempt to steal his SUV. Marcelino was busy cleaning his SUV when he was intercepted.

According to security camera footage, a grey or silver car stopped in front of the property. Two armed individuals wearing balaclavas got out and threatened the former police officer, forcing him to the ground to get the keys. A third individual remained behind the wheel.

Marcelino, who had had over thirty years police experience, initially gave the keys over and stepped aside. Moments later, he pulled out his firearm, and engaged in a shootout. The driver of the assailants' vehicle attempted to run him over.

The criminals fired back several times, and one of the shots fatally struck Marcelino. A bystander was also hit, and was rushed to hospital. The attackers fled on foot, abandoning the SUV. No arrests have yet been reported.

No piece of property is worth your life. Sad.

RIP

[Mr.NoCredit]

Over thirty years of experience and he can’t shoot for shit.

He could have waited until he was even with the window and taken them both out.

Or, just shoot out a tire and run. :)
