I was a little confused by what I was seeing and what I was reading so I was able to find out the following:

So there were two guys on the motorcycle. One guy went inside.

The cop shot the guy waiting outside on the motorcycle, wounding him.

The guy in the store shot the cop from inside the store and shot him again as he was running away.

The cop ended up being shot three times and later died.

A third guy who did not participate in the robbery but was responsible for planning the whole thing was arrested later.
