Retired MP Dies After Shooting with Gas Station Robbers
An attempted assault ended tragically on Tuesday night (20). A Rondonian policeman died after being shot during an attempted robbery at a gas station in Maracaju dos Gauchos, Guaíra. According to the first information obtained, the retired military police Fábio, known as Cabo, had a security service job at a gas station.  At one point, two elements on a motorcycle arrived and announced the assault on the station. Cabo tried to stop the action and there was an exchange of gunfire.  The retired police officer was shot with three shots. Two shots would have snapped a cable (or belt?) and a third shot hit him in the abdome. He was rescued and sent to the Hospital, but at about 11:45 he did not resist the injuries and died.  One of the bad guys was also shot. The assailants fled on foot and left the stolen motorcycle behind. The entire police network now tries to locate the thugs who shot the MP. Cabo served as Military Police for many years in the cities of Marechal Cândido Rondon, Mercedes and Guaíra. Nowadays he has been performing security services for some companies in the region. The policeman was the father of three children. One of them died, a victim of a traffic accident inside Mercedes in 2015. According to information, the victim's wife is pregnant. A BPFron team succeeded in arresting two of those involved in Cabo's death. They were in a rural area of Guaíra. Another element was found not far away from that. He fired at the police so police returned fired. He died in the Hospital later on. |

Interesting footage. One of his bullets took off the robbers helmet. I wonder which robber survived. Seems like both were shot.

Dios Mio! Best shooting of a getaway driver we have ever seen on DR! That getaway driver took some bullets and ran away...retired cop might have benefited from working on shot placement. Robber guy hit him with a shot from offscreen, and cop kept shooting at running robber while laying on the ground. We should all be so determined to win our next gun fight!

Seems a bit reckless to be shooting in the store by copper. And his helmet did not get shot off. It came off when he ducked it wasn't strapped on  |
