I imagine they turn of the light so that it looks like the place is closed and no new customers walk in, people might just be in shock as well, not knowing what to do or how to handle it. most people arent like us and wouldnt think "ohhh lets go play with the corpse and take pix" |

Owner had shot and killed someone else in cold blood and now some retaliation was going on before he had to go to court the next week.

The reason for that reaction is because people panic easily, they were thinking more about saving their own ass i guarantee it, but i mean hey who wouldn't, there's not much they could have done for the poor guy anyways, only thing to do is call 911

The guy probably didn't get his fries comped after complaining that they were cold. People kill people over anything. I'm sure the group was in shock, which can make you do weird things.
