Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
Read through a lot of comments wondering how neither the reporter or the female saw this mad fuck as he was waving his pistol around. As someone who has worked closely with news stations doing field interviews, I can tell you too things. First off, there was nowhere near as much light present at the time of the interview - those damn apertures can collect an amazing amount of light and secondly, with that bright light over the camera, neither victim would have seen much other than a very hazy shadow. Oh, you can also add that it was a live interview and neither wished to be distracted by what they thought was nothing other than an early morning spectator.

Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
Your "scenario" is already flawed with the very first assumption: Only a very small fraction of homocides is actually premeditated. The vast majority of homocides are commited in the heat of passion or often enough even without any wish to kill. And if you take guns out of THIS equation, then yes, you definitely have less gun victims, period. But I do not think that guns are the actual problem. The Swiss are armed to the teeth and Switzerland is one of the happiest, safest and most peaceful countries in the world. I think that the problem is the american culture of violence, hate and punishment. It's the same culture that the US tries to establish in the rest of the world by waging wars. This culture is also the reason why there are still people executed in the US like in a third world country. Americans will always shoot at each other and be proud of it. |

Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
I disagree that most crimes are not premeditated. Yet you have a point that guns are not the problem. Spoons don't make people fat. They are just tools that have good and bad uses. It is a cultural demographic problem in the USA. If you were to put a wall around a few problem cities it the USA, we would be armed like the Swiss with practically no crime like them. Yet nobody wants to talk about the big white elephant in the living room. Who wants to be the first politician to say that we have a problem with a certain minority with guns? So they keep blaming the tool and not the people who are doing the crime.

Funny how these 2 women are so wrapped up in their BlaBlaBla that they don't even notice him filming them, walking round, pointing his gun at their heads, etc.

That website does nothing but talk about selfish carnivorous reptilians taking over the planet in human form..And Republicans have already been around for a long time now... While mainstream media is dodgy, at best, that site is looney & criminal, at worst. |

Re: Reporter, Cameraman Shot Dead on Live TV in Virginia
Wow...I mean there he is standing right there in front of them, pointing the gun at her, and all of them are totally oblivious to their surroundings. She should have had a side view of him standing there...that was crazy as shit. I am just totally shocked that no one even thought to look at the figure standing at their side. |
