It's a Sticky because I fucking stickied it. I decided that it fit the standard for being placed at the top of the forum because of the amount of traffic it was receiving. To wit, our site traffic is more than doubled this morning and this incident accounts for the bulk of that increase. Seems a reasonable courtesy to make it easier for folks to find the video they're here looking for. If you adjusted the violent crime reporting statistics to be the same as the UK, the USA violent crime rate is 776 vs. the UK's 2,034. That's right. Even when you doctor crime reporting statistics to favor other countries by adding their categories, the United States IS 3 TIMES LESS VIOLENT THAN THE UK. Look up rape statistics as well. Nobody said it has no impact on crime. You're missing the point. Nobody ever jumps on the "ban machetes and screwdrivers and cars bandwagon" when someone is murdered with one of those weapons, it only happens when a firearm is used as a weapon that you hear this sort of "nonsense", to borrow one of your own words.
