Actually, the US is #10 on that list, if you're talking about per capita gun deaths. Honduras, Venezuela, El Salvador, Swaziland, Guatemala, Jamaica, Brazil, Colombia, and Panama are all worse. In some cases, much worse. Yet there is approximately 1 gun for every person in America, and in Honduras, there's only about 1 gun for every 10 people. If you look at our gun death rate relative to our gun ownership rate, America is one of the safest places in the world. |
