Recovering A Heavily Decomposed Body From a Well
A body was found inside a well in the municipality of São Sebastião, Alagoas state, Brazil. The body, which was in an advanced state of decomposition, was removed from the site by the Military Fire Department. According to information gathered by the firefighters from locals, the new owner of the property, which had been abandoned for years, called asking for help to remove the body. The well is between 15 and 20 meters deep and still had water. |

Re: Recovering A Heavily Decomposed Body From a Well
Fun fact: I was named after a male relative who died digging a well in Wisconsin. That used to be pretty common. (Dying while digging a well was common. Naming a relative after another dead relative was not so common. "NO, I was talking about DEAD Bill, not LIVE BILL!") (Except for the part about the Brazilians recovering the body from the well. There were no Brazilians in Wisconsin at the time, so they had to send down some Germans to hoist him out.) |

My brain can't even fathom how utterly putrid it must've smelled down in that well. That's the kinda stink that will burn your nostrils. Sounded like they were wearing some masks at least.
