i listened until i couldn't stand the gurgling. i watched all but the screwdriver to the face, (i knew it was coming and when it came close i watched a few seconds and couldn't take it). i have watched beheadings, i have watched the abortions, i have seen all the blood and gore and not flinched or barely flinched, but this was difficult. why? because this could happen to me i suppose; i know there are evil people are there by experience. do not make the mistake dears, of thinking this kind of violence is limited to the eastern europeon countries. no, these are pathological killers, serial killers, and they are everywhere around us. they are the ones whose neighbors say with stunned looks, "but he was such a quiet young man and never caused any trouble". do not think you are safe anywhere! they may be your neighbor, your child's classmate or friend, your co-worker. they may not seem all dark and scary, they may appear quite friendly and popular. do not let yourself be surprised one day. learn to defend yourself.

did the man feel pain while he was being tortured? most certainly, he kept trying to move, i'm sure he wanted to get away. we can hope for shock, we can pray that endorphins flooded his body and provided some pain relief, but we would only be fooling ourselves if we believed this to be completely true. i am willing to guess though that we really need to feel this in order to live with what we have just seen. because otherwise our fears would swallow us up entirely. nevertheless, there are demons amongst us, and when we hear each other plan what we would do given the moment to torture them for the horrors they have visited upon their fellow men, we know it's true. satan and his minions are whispering in our ears...
