Why he drove through the crowd, you mean? I believe he was targeting the bus with the Royal Family in it. He approached from a long stretch of road that was barricaded in an attempt to crash through the crowd and drive into the bus, but when he hit the barricades and bodies, they did so much damage to his car that he got severely wounded and knocked unconscious. Then he slammed into a monument at the end of the road and later died. I believe he was somewhat conscious at one point and admitted that he was conspiring to attack the Royal Family, but that story might have been false. All I know is, he hit the barricades going very fast (the road was long so he had a big head start). |

Ha! This would have been downright tragic hadn't it been in the Nether lands... My hat goes off to the cop in the last pic deeroozle posted; gotta love the apparent nonchalance. Not that this was anything to get too excited about, mind you.
