Oh Jesus Christ man, hold the fucking telephone for a second and chill the fuck out! You completely and utterly misinterpreted my comments and drew baseless conclusions from them. All I said was that nobody unarmed and unthreatening deserves to be killed by the police. That's it. Wouldn't you agree with this? I never once said that the Salinas policemen murdered an unarmed man nor did I ever say that they were justified in using deadly force in this case. I said several comments ago that I didn't know enough about the case to formulate my opinions and I have never contradicted that statement nor will I ever do that to blow sunshine up anyone's ass, even yours. I also mentioned that I cannot trust the mainstream media to lay the facts out since they have nothing to gain from reporting the positive achievements of the police. Rough translation: there is no profitability in giving you guys the recognition you deserve. The media has no interest in giving you guys that benefit. They accentuate the negative and exaggerate shit for ratings, not for disseminating objectivity. Would you agree with me on that?

Let's face it, the police are just like any other organization or institution: You will have the unfortunate situations where a few bad police officers undermine the reputation and work done from those that honor their sworn duty and have helped the community. Isn't it common knowledge that one bad example ruins the good examples of many? Go back and read my comments and tell me where I said that the police "murdered" an unarmed civilian in Salinas or where I made reference to policemen murdering unarmed civilians in any of my comments. I only agreed that people should not get whacked by the police if they pose no threat them. Nothing abstract or complicated about it.

Also, you took my comments about the sentiments of many Americans way the fuck out of context, so let me clarify that before you start going off on another comrade-goosestepping-gulag-politburo-left-right-left-right tirade, and needlessly challenge my character with a bunch of baseless and nonsensical bullshit.

Let me ask you first...are you happy with the obummer admin and all the other countless asshats on capitol hill making decisions that are circumventing the constitution? Do you think any one of them gives a shit about you or me, or that anyone of them takes any interest in making a positive impact beyond their own self-centered aspirations? Do you think that they are concerned about maintaining the longevity of capitalism in this country or are they more concerned with sucking the cocks of special interest groups, setting up an oligarchy, and creating less and less opportunities for free enterprise in the future? Then again, if you are content with the way things are, then my hat goes off to you and I will respect, not necessarily agree with your political beliefs.

Those are the things I am referring to. I didn't mention them specifically because I never would have guessed for one iota of a second that those remarks would be interpreted as a conspiracy theory that the police force is trying to take over this country. In fact, what I said here has absolutely nothing to do with the police. The excessive prison population in this country would never be an issue if it weren't for those who created and dictated policies that created it, not from those who enforce it. Would you agree with that?

If you do the extra research, you will find many sources of information debunking all the media scare mongering about Russia and China. And no, not tabloid conspiracy theroy newspaper checkout line sources either. That is my opinion on the matter, neither of which have anything to do with the police.

If you want, I can go on, but I think-at least hope anyway- I've made myself clear. You don't strike me as being a trolling douche nozzle and I actually agree with about everything you said. My intent was to challenge fattbubbashit's assumptions, not to agree with them. Perhaps I wasted my time trying to explain something about Americans that his sources of information would have no clue about. But, if you interpret a civil conversation between me and him as switching sides or behaving in a traitorous manner, then that's your agenda, not mine and I would beseech you to reconsider that baseless assumption.

I want to mention one last thing which I rarely discuss but hopefully this will make things absolutely clear on what I personally think about law enforcement.

Without going into any specific details (I think you would understand why), my own well-being and outlook on life is much better today than it was about 5 years ago. I wouldn't have any of the things I have today-most of which I used to think were imposible for me-if it weren't for the act of a police officer who unwittingly changed the course of my personal history for the better.

The U.S. has the highest incarceration rate out of any nation in the world. You never hear about that in the MM but we are apt to point out "human rights abuses" in places like China, irrespective of how much factual basis supports such claims.

In all fairness, you're probably right about that. I admit being biased against MM so the metric I think would work are the number of hits with these sources considering that the public has the greatest visibility to them. I will cross-reference this tomorrow and feel free to do the same. Let me know what you find when you do. If I am wrong, I won't take matters personally and go on a childish trolling rampage but I'm afraid I can't afford the $5k wager either.

Agreed, but I'm guessing that the variance will be large enough that only a few simple variables would suffice. Idk, google hits perhaps? If that turns out to not be the case, then I will admit that my interest will fall precipitously. Don't really want to spend too much time on this one.
