Putting a Dismembered Body Back Together
Manaus (AM) – The body of a man, still unidentified, who was between 30 and 40 years old, was found on Hibiscus Street, in Industrial District II, East Zone of Manaus, around 10 am this Sunday (21). The victim was decapitated, quartered and had his limbs thrown into plastic bags. The body still showed signs of flaccidity, which indicates that it may have been killed in the early hours of the morning. He didn't wear underwear. According to police officers from the 4th Community Interactive Company (Cicom), it was a woman who made the complaint to the authorities, after passing through the site. “We think it was (because of) the traffic. Because life is about dumping bodies here and we come across it. The woman who found it and called the police was very shaken.” said an area resident, who declined to be named. Police officers from the Specialized Homicide and Kidnapping Police Station (DEHS) were called and are investigating the case. The body was removed to the Legal Medical Institute (IML).     |
