Psychiatric Patient Kills Himself By Jumping From 10th Floor of Hospital
Yala, Thailand At around 7.05pm on May 4th, police received a report of a psychiatric patient planning to jump from the tenth floor of Yala Hospital. Initial information indicated that the man had entered a private patient’s room and then ran to the balcony at the back. At approximately 8:26 PM, police brought in his relatives to help persuade him to step down, but the attempt failed. At around 8:36 PM, the man jumped, hitting a roof before falling to the ground and dying from the impact. The deceased was identified as 28-year-old Dome P. The following day, it was revealed that a police officer from the Special Operations Division, dressed in a manner resembling a delivery driver, had livestreamed the incident, and used "inappropriate language". Upon learning of the incident, the unit immediately appointed a fact-finding committee. |
