Re: Protesting Family Set Themselves on Fire Using Kerosene & Petrol Inside an Office
Well, self immolation is a well known (and specifically Tibetan) form of protest. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-immolation I think the mind-set is: "Well, I'm screwed... My loved ones are screwed... What is the ultimate statement I can make which may drive change for others..." IE martyrdom. Don't get me wrong, it's fucking crazy... But consider how far down the rabbit hole you'd have to get in order to be were these people obviously were. |

Re: Protesting Family Set Themselves on Fire Using Kerosene & Petrol Inside an Office
I just watched the vid of the man with a large gunshot wound...writhing in shock and agony...depresssing...so depressing...and disturbing. I had to watch this one to feel better. I mean this is nothing but hilarious. As long as the ones who wanted to burn themselves are the only ones who were injured and dead. I especially enjoy the sight of that one guy completely engulfed...taking a stroll. Then that one lady who was doing stunts and shows, rolling around on the floor, when she realizes the fire is on, she makes a mad dash to the fire. Then that other lady who is doing her stunts and shows on the floor as well...she makes a quick getaway. |

You have got to be completely insane or out of your mind on drugs in order to deliberately set yourself on fire. That is not a rational response to eviction. I can't think of anything worse than burning alive.
