Promoter of Shows Executed when He Leaves His Car
Colombia, A promoter of shows and also owner of a polling firm was executed next to his car on Dec 15. According to his relatives, he had withdrawn the sum of 25 million pesos from a bank and when he tried to get out of his vehicle in front of a hardware store he was surprised by two elements on a motorcycle, who tried to take the money from him but he resisted. The two men shot him in the chest and head and attempted to flee on a blue bike, but they collided with another vehicle and at that time the community tried to lynch them. Members of the community, outraged by the crime, set the motorcycle on fire in the center of the town. The police commander told the two men were captured by a squad patrol on the spot and once in police custody the community tried to take them away to lynch them. The victim was widely known in the community. His two activities kept him in permanent contact with the community. His friends agree that he was very happy because on Thursday, December 22, he would marry his girlfriend who he called the love of his life. He had two young daughters from an earlier relationship. |

He withdrew $8,000USD. Probably more than these two guys could earn in a year between them, so it makes sense they were tempted. Also makes sense that the victim defended it as it may have been a lot of money to him too.
