A 24 year-old inmate was beheaded during a prison riot in Maringa, Brazil.
Reportedly more than 300 prisoners spent Saturday night and all Sunday shouting, making noise and threatening to break out. The situation started to become critical on Friday after the completion of installation screens on the windows of the cells which give access to the sunny patio. The screens were implemented in order to prevent prisoners "to fish" packages with drugs, saws, drills, mobile phones and tabacco that were being thrown over the wall of the prison.

With the tightening of the rules, inmates rioted. They spent all day screaming and banging against the bars, using pieces of iron, torn up structure, to break walls and windows.
The Deputy Chief negotiated with the prisoners till the end of the rebellion.
