Prison Guard on His Bike Shot and Killed by Two Elements on a Bike
Last Friday morning a prison guard on his bike was on his way to work at the Centro De Detenção Provisória. But 400 meters before the entrance he was overtaking by two elements on a bike with the intention to rob him.  After the guard fell to the ground a struggle ensued. One of the thugs pointing a gun at him shot and killed him after the robbery. E.L.d.S. was shot in his chest. An ambulance arrived later on but couldn't save his life. |

From start to finish, 10 cars drive by and nobody does a damn thing. So sad. People don’t think about the fact that if they were in the same situation, would they want someone to try and intervene, or would you just watch them drive by as your life was about to be taken.  |

How would they have helped though? Ramming them with their car? I mean if they were in an armoured money van, yes. But a regular car? Theyd be getting shot. Or the passerby would have to be a good shot. But also, this is night/early morning, its dark. Hard to see whats happening as you drive by. Maybe they were thinking it's just a fight or robbery and maybe someone will get beaten up but not shot. Also...really sad, the guy shouldnt have stopped, his work was just a short bit away. |
