Yes most likely using m855 but possibly mk262 or m855a1. Mk262 is a 77 grain bullet instead of the 62 grain green tip with steel core, that fragments much more reliably than the m855 at much greater distances. There are ar15s in 308/7.62x51 caliber (called ar-10's) but no military uses this. Even the IDF still used 5.56x45mm with their Tavor bullpup rifles.

I think a cool one would be someone tied upside down with their head lowered into a huge ant pile slowly with time lapsed footage.. Got the idea from an episode of westworld.
