Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
"don't reach for it, then", "dont pull it out", "don't pull it out!"....now how many of you in this situation would continue reaching for your wallet (or whatever)...? ...as with 99.999% of these cop shootings, it appears justified to me: sounds like the guy intended to draw on the cop. what's the cop supposed to do, wait until a gun is pointed at him? fuck the dead hood rat. |

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
Maybe wait until he can actually see a gun... he had a clear view of the victims hands. I mean, the guy actually told the officer about the gun! Who does that if you're gonna try and shoot him!? He also said he wasn't going for it... then, he gets shot. In the debriefing interview afterward the officer said that he didn't even know where the gun was at, (and therefore couldn't see it...) the victim couldn't have been much of a threat without a gun on him AND telling the officer that he had one in the car!!! If you watch what happened then go right to the debriefing interview you can hear how much the officer 'added' to what happened to make it seem more likely that the victim was going to shoot him! He lied. He blatantly lied about what happened! The truth is the officer 'jumped the gun', he shot when he should have been listening to what the victim was saying. He lost control and killed a man because of it. I'd like to know where the gun was and I wish there was a video showing what the victim was doing with his hands, but we'll probably never know, all we have is the word of the officer and of the passenger. All each of them will probably do is blame, bending the truth which never helps vindicate the victim. |

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
He knows he fucked up, hence his reaction and screaming. He and the idiots who defend him can bitch all they want, but the guy knows he killed an innocent man. It looks like it will haunt him forever. I'm glad.

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
the video is clear proof. the idiot thug was given 3 clear chances to live, yet he chose to die. i'd like to see you "wait until you see a gun" when you know somebody is armed and moving their hands towards their weapon, before you decide to defend yourself. |

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
review the audio again u dumbasses... taken from nytimes At first, Officer Yanez walks up to Mr. Castile’s window and tells him that his brake light is broken. The officer asks for proof of insurance and a driver’s license. Mr. Castile responds politely and hands his insurance card through the window. Mr. Castile, who had a permit to carry a gun, then says, “Sir, I have to tell you I do have a firearm on me.” Officer Yanez then reaches toward his holster and says, “O.K., don’t reach for it, then.” Mr. Castile starts to answer, but is cut off by Officer Yanez, whose voice is now raised. “Don’t pull it out!” the officer yells. “I’m not pulling it out,” Mr. Castile says, and Ms. Reynolds also tries to assure Officer Yanez that her boyfriend is not grabbing the gun. Officer Yanez again yells, “Don’t pull it out!” Then he fires seven shots, fatally wounding Mr. Castile. “I wasn’t reaching,” Mr. Castile says softly just after the gunfire stops. total overreaction and murder by the cop. cop gave confusing instructions and was too high strung. if you can't can't handle a simple traffic stop u dont need to be a cop. dude said he had a firearm, which is his constitutional right, and he was polite about it...and he had his family with him. but because he was profiled, due to his skin color, broken tail-light and because he had a firearm he was fucked. that cop needs put in prison. ridiculous. |
