Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
Though I'm still trying to figure out why my first post in the thread got so many dislikes for basically running down her own words from the video and leaving what happened open, we've seen the video, we've seen her videos getting stoned with her kid in the car. And now, as I said, her story changing and not quite adding up in the original video, the followup video, now we have proof that police on scene DID render aid to Castile before EMTs got there, despite her claiming they left him in there and didn't try to help him and blasting them for comforting the officer while not doing anything for him. Additionally, there's question on whether her story on being pulled over for a taillight is even true. Scanner traffic shows: Additionally, three separate GoFundMe's were opened for her, Castile's mother and the vague "the family" which they all support and share... |

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
Here's the thing - even if we use her words (and she was likely stoned, given her basically talking about being stoned all day, getting baked with her kid in the car and there was weed found in the car) she admits to talking over the officer and Castile. If anything, given her demeanor, her comments and her version of the story - she may have been the one to escalate this so much that Castile couldn't be heard and the officer couldn't hear what was going on clearly from Castile. It's highly probable at this point that car also reeked of weed. She's got a lot of videos/photos of her smoking in that car, so even if they weren't smoking right then - that smell doesn't go away if you do it a lot. Given her "Chinese" cop comment, when we know both cops were Hispanic, I'd also ASSUME she was stoned because she wasn't remotely thinking clearly given her contradictions in her first story, her inability to follow the scene around her (such as the CPR), etc. I can't even see how you'd get those two confused. So the officer approaches, smells weed, has a stop for a possible robbery suspect assumed armed and he asks for ID, dude reaches for his pocket and says "I have a gun" and she warbles over her boyfriends voice, drowning out words like "legal", "licensed" or "CCP holder". And when you have a cop that's on edge anyway, has a possible drugged driver (like I said, Castile may not have been stoned himself, but the assumption is there when the smell comes out), who might be an armed robber and hears "I have a gun" - then it compounds the mistakes made all around. The last thing this is, is racial. |

By the way, I'm going to need a ride home. What about going to the police station or hospital? Oh, maybe she need some weed now. She was way too cool about that shit. |

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
If she so much as tried to help her boyfriend, the cop would have shot her dead and later say she was reaching for the firearm. If anybody thinks this kind of behavior is acceptable from a police officer, you disgust me. This cop executes a civilian in front of his wife and daughter and some of your reactions are to blame his girlfriend for being in shock and trying to document the crime. Youre what is wrong with humanity.

Re: Police Shooting of Philando Castile
Any conceal carry holder is taught to identify, if the law requires it, and to keep your hands on the steering wheel until told to do otherwise. They are told to do so for the safety of the law officers as well as for the concealed carrier. Why did this girlfriend not try and apply direct pressure to her boyfriend? That is my first instinct. I would never have thought to grab my phone and facebook with people. Black lives matter groups and others are making everything worse by threatening police officers lives! Stop pushing the race crap! It is getting innocent people shot! |
