A 36-year-old police officer, Andrés J.M.R., walked into the beauty salon where his wife, 26-year-old Yesica P.C.B., was working, and, without saying a word, used his service weapon to murder her. After committing the crime, he took his own life with the same firearm.

Reportedly, Yesica's body had sustained approximately ten gunshot wounds. Andrés emptied an entire magazine of his firearm, then reloaded and fired a couple more shots.

Despite being in active service with the police, Andrés had prior criminal records for domestic violence in 2019 and 2024. It is believed Yesica planned to leave him, which resulted in Andrés killing her. Two children were left orphaned.
